Code of Conduct

Last Updated: May 19, 2026

Techspance RemoteIT, operated by Techspance, is a professional remote internship ecosystem built around mentorship, collaboration, and real-world execution.

This Code of Conduct defines the standards of behavior expected from all interns, mentors, and participants within the platform.

By participating in Techspance RemoteIT, you agree to follow these principles.

1. Our Core Values

Techspance RemoteIT is built on the following values:

  • Respect — for mentors, peers, and the learning process
  • Accountability — taking responsibility for tasks and commitments
  • Discipline — showing consistency in participation and execution
  • Collaboration — working effectively in teams
  • Integrity — honesty in submissions and communication
  • Growth mindset — willingness to learn, improve, and adapt

These values define how we work, not just what we learn.

2. Expected Behavior

All participants are expected to:

  • communicate respectfully and professionally
  • participate actively in assigned tasks and sessions
  • respond to feedback constructively
  • collaborate with teammates effectively
  • attend scheduled meetings or notify in advance if unavailable
  • follow instructions from mentors and team leads
  • maintain a positive and supportive learning environment

RemoteIT is designed to simulate a real work environment, so professionalism is essential.

3. Communication Standards

Participants must:

  • use clear and respectful language
  • avoid spam, irrelevant messages, or disruptive behavior
  • use appropriate channels for questions and discussions
  • communicate progress and blockers honestly
  • avoid aggressive, offensive, or discriminatory language

We encourage open communication, but it must remain professional.

4. Collaboration & Teamwork

Since Techspance RemoteIT is project-based, teamwork is a core part of the experience. Participants are expected to:

  • contribute fairly to group work
  • respect team roles and responsibilities
  • avoid dominating or excluding others
  • support teammates when needed
  • communicate delays or blockers early
  • resolve conflicts professionally

Failure to collaborate effectively may affect evaluations.

5. Academic Integrity & Original Work

Integrity is a key requirement. Participants must NOT:

  • submit copied or plagiarized work
  • reuse another intern’s project without permission
  • claim work they did not contribute to
  • misrepresent progress or results

We encourage learning from resources, but final submissions must reflect individual or team effort.

6. Mentorship Respect

Mentors are here to guide, not to simply instruct. Participants must:

  • respect mentor feedback
  • listen actively during sessions
  • ask questions appropriately
  • avoid interrupting or disruptive behavior
  • apply feedback to improve work

Mentorship is a privilege and should be treated with professionalism.

7. Attendance & Participation

While flexibility exists in remote learning, consistency is important. Participants are expected to:

  • attend scheduled sessions when possible
  • inform mentors or team leads in advance if unavailable
  • keep up with weekly tasks and deadlines
  • actively engage in project cycles

Repeated absence or inactivity may affect program standing.

8. Prohibited Behavior

The following behaviors are strictly not allowed:

  • harassment, bullying, or intimidation
  • hate speech or discriminatory behavior
  • sharing inappropriate or offensive content
  • disrupting live sessions or discussions
  • attempting to hack, exploit, or damage systems
  • impersonating mentors, staff, or other participants
  • submitting malicious files or code
  • plagiarism or fraudulent submissions

Violations may result in immediate disciplinary action.

9. Disciplinary Actions

Depending on severity, violations may result in:

  • verbal or written warning
  • temporary suspension from activities
  • removal from team projects
  • loss of evaluation scores
  • permanent removal from Techspance RemoteIT

We aim to be fair, but also maintain a professional environment.

10. Learning Environment Expectations

Techspance RemoteIT is designed to feel like a real remote workplace. Participants should behave as if they are part of a software team, working on real production projects, and collaborating with professionals. This means:

  • taking responsibility seriously
  • communicating clearly
  • delivering work on time
  • respecting team workflows

11. Reporting Issues

Participants are encouraged to report harassment, misconduct, unfair treatment, technical issues, or unethical behavior. Reports should be made through official platform channels or directly to mentors/admins. All reports will be handled with confidentiality where appropriate.

12. Continuous Improvement

We believe people grow. Techspance RemoteIT encourages learning from mistakes, improving communication, adapting behavior positively, and developing professional habits over time. Our goal is not punishment, but development. However, professionalism remains non-negotiable.

13. Agreement

By participating in Techspance RemoteIT, you agree to follow this Code of Conduct, behave professionally and respectfully, contribute positively to the learning ecosystem, and uphold the values of Techspance.
